Ingredients

leftover cooked rice

water

mustard oil

salt

turmeric powder

red chili powder

teaspoon
mustard seeds

green chilies
finely chopped
A handful of chopped coriander leaves
Instructions
In a large bowl, add the leftover cooked rice and water. Mix well and let it soak overnight or for at least 6-7 hours.
Drain the water from the soaked rice and mash it with your hands until it becomes soft and fluffy.
In a pan, heat the mustard oil and add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them crackle for a few seconds.
Add chopped green chilies and sauté for a minute.
Add turmeric powder and red chili powder and mix well.
Add the mashed rice to the pan and mix everything together.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Cook for a few minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
