Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina suji/rava
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp ghee
- Chopped nuts for garnishing optional
Instructions
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat ghee over medium heat.
- Add semolina to the pan and roast it for a few minutes until it turns light golden brown.
- Pour milk into the pan and stir well.
- Add sugar and cardamom powder to the pan and stir again.
- Keep stirring the mixture continuously until it thickens and the semolina is cooked through. This may take about 15-20 minutes.
- Once the mixture reaches a desired consistency, turn off the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Garnish with chopped nuts (if using) and serve warm or chilled.
