In a bowl, mix 1 cup mayonnaise, 2 Tbsp chopped pickles or relish, 1 Tbsp chopped onion, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard & 1 Tbsp chopped parsley.
Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well combined.
Taste the tartar sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper according to your preference.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate the tartar sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve chilled with your favorite seafood dishes, such as fish and chips, shrimp, or crab cakes.
